Fans were quick to inquire why sounded so strange and different. Is he sick? Is he getting older? Nope, he's just being voiced by a new actor.
For the longest time, Kermit was voiced by 'The Muppets' creator Jim Henson. Upon his death in 1990, veteran Muppet performer Steven Whitmire took the mantle. He was fired in 2017 after 27 years over 'creative disagreements and labor negotiations,' according to Vox.
